Child Day Care

At two years old, your child begins their educational journey in a nurturing, play-based environment. Our trained early years teachers focus on:

  • Social Development: Learning to interact with other children, sharing, and taking turns
  • Language Skills: Building vocabulary through songs, stories, and conversation
  • Motor Skills: Developing coordination through play activities
  • Routine & Structure: Getting comfortable with school routines in a gentle, caring way

Our Day Care is designed to feel like a home away from home, where your child feels safe, loved, and excited to explore.

Age 3

Play Group

Learning happens through play at this stage. Children explore, discover, and develop foundational skills naturally through structured play activities.

What Your Child Learns:

  • Basic shapes, colors, and numbers
  • Following simple instructions
  • Pre-writing skills through drawing and painting
  • Music and movement activities
  • Environmental awareness through outdoor play

Our Play Group teachers create an environment where curiosity is encouraged and every child's pace is respected.

Age 4

Pre-Primary 1 (PP1)

Your child begins more structured learning while maintaining the playful approach that works at this age. We introduce early literacy and numeracy concepts through hands-on activities.

Learning Areas:

  • Language Activities: Letter recognition, phonics introduction, story comprehension
  • Mathematical Activities: Counting to 20, simple patterns, sorting and grouping
  • Environmental Activities: Understanding the world around them, weather, animals, plants
  • Creative Activities: Art, music, movement, and imaginative play
  • Physical Education: Developing gross and fine motor skills

CBC Focus: We follow the CBC Early Years Education framework, which emphasizes learning through play and nurturing the whole child—physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual development.

Age 5

Pre-Primary 2 (PP2)

The final year before Grade 1 prepares your child for formal schooling. We strengthen reading readiness, number sense, and independent learning skills.

Learning Areas:

  • Literacy: Beginning reading, writing simple words, sentence formation
  • Numeracy: Counting to 100, basic addition and subtraction, understanding number value
  • Science & Technology: Simple experiments, basic computer skills
  • Social Studies: Community, families, Kenyan culture and values
  • Religious Education: Christian values, Bible stories, character building
  • Life Skills: Self-care, problem-solving, decision-making

Your PP2 child becomes more independent, confident, and ready to tackle Grade 1 challenges.
